American Country Doctor was launched in 2005 by Alan Inglis MD, a board certified physician in internal medicine with an active medical practiced where he sees patients from all walks of life.
American Country Doctor offers a safe, effective balance of time honored healing and cutting edge science to a broad readership.
American Country Doctor is now published every month in an inexpensive electronic version you can read on the computer or print out on hard copy. Subscribers also receive weekly health bulletins on late breaking health subjects of special interest. Together they offer a refreshing antidote to the usual confused and confusing reporting on health and medicine found in the mainstream media.
In addition to the monthly newsletter and weekly health bulletins, subscribers can choose from over 400 professional quality supplements from Metagenics, a world leader in nutritional supplements.
Group phone chats are doctor led series of talks 30 to 60 minutes in length on subjects of practical interest, such as weight loss, brain health and stress management. The first, on healthy weight loss, consists of four evening talks given every other week.
Audio health talks are shorter recorded talks on a wide variety of subjects lasting five to ten minutes. Individual private phone sessions with Dr. Inglis offer subscribers to delve deeper in to matters of personal interest.
Dr. Inglis received his undergraduate degrees in English from Amherst College and Downing College, University of Cambridge. He obtained his medical training at UVM College of Medicine and Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield Massachusetts, where he was awarded the Jordan Fieldman Award Medical Humanism.
Dr. Inglis has his own private medical practice, Integrative Health Solutions, in Stockbridge Massachusetts , a picturesque and historical New England village. He offers unrushed, individualized care for patients with a wide variety of health needs. Subscribers are of course invited to travel to beautiful Stockbridge for an appointment.
